College Days at the Humana Festival of New American Plays

Annual domestic study tour to College Days at the Humana Festival of New American Plays. The Humana Festival is the most important new play festival in the US. I take approximately 20 students each March to College Days. Students see five new plays in professional production, as well as attend a series of lectures, workshops, and roundtables on the state of the field. Many also interview for internships or audition for apprenticeships at the organization. They also enroll in 1 credit of Theatre 5798 to prepare for the event by learning about the writers and directors involved in the annual festival.
