NACLO 2019 - North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad

NACLO is a contest for high-school (and younger) students to solve linguistics problems drawn from a variety of languages. Only logic and reasoning skills are necessary; no prior knowledge of particular languages or of linguistics is required. High School students from all over North America compete in their local areas. OSU Linguistics hosts Franklin County and surrounding areas serving as many as 70 students each year. The local competition takes place in January each year, and well-performing students move on to a second round in March. Top students have a chance to participate in the International Linguistics Olympiad in the summer.
