Florence Nightingale Day for Girls in Grades 8-12

The first annual Florence Nightingale Day will be hosted by the American Statistical Association (ASA) and Caucus for Women in Statistics (CWS) on October 27, 2018. Female students in grades 8-12 are invited to this inaugural event to discover career opportunities in statistics and data science, take part in fun activities with data, and develop connections. This event is organized by Professor of Statistics and CWS president Shili Lin and CWS Executive Director Jessica Kohlschmidt, as part of a similar national celebration to promote the science of data.
