Young Writers Workshop This is a program that brings Columbus City Schools teenagers, rising juniors and seniors, to our campus for a week in residence every summer. They spend their days writing and taking classes and workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction writing with OSU MFA students and alumni who are now teaching elsewhere, as well as current OSU faculty, and their evenings attending and giving readings, participating in special extra workshops in subjects other than the program's main ones (e.g. screenwriting, playwriting, graphic novel writing). The MFA students live in the dorm with them and also serve as mentors and advisors, a relationship that often continues well past the student's time on campus with us.
