The Dept. of Spanish and Portuguese in partnership with Columbus City Schools supports the Bilingual Storybook Project annually. Students in Spanish 3403 Honors collaborate with Spanish-speaking first- and second-graders learning English at Salem Elementary. The young students contribute their artwork and story ideas, and the honors writing students write and publish a collection of their stories in Spanish and English, including the children's artwork. Each child receives a copy of the storybook at a celebration of literacy attended by all involved.
