Festival Latino - Spanish and Portuguese Booth

From 206-2018, I have been in charge of the Festival Latino’s Department of Spanish and Portuguese’s booth. Our highly interactive booth has featured performances of Tango (TangoOSU), Flamenco (Uwilldance), and Capoeira (TABCAT), cumbia instruction, and storytelling in Spanish. There were also mini-lessons in Quechua and Portuguese by Elvia Andia Grageda, and Clarissa Surek-Clark and in Spanish by graduate students in the SPPO Department. In addition, the booth served as a hub for researchers such as Dr. Theresa Delgadillo whose team presented and published on Latina/o Studies and Latinx Placemaking Project.
